I put off writing about “I Am Legend” for close to a week now. I’m not sure why.
I’m thinking it has to do with Newsweek’s review of Will Smith. Last month they called him the “most powerful actor in Hollywood.”
and try not to laugh.

Not that Hollywood’s opinion means anything, but nonetheless, it’s still pretty irritating to read.

While I’ll admit that ‘Legend’ has a powerful start, the plot is paper thin.
I mean, I wanted to be frightened, but by Zombies?
That’s original.

I should mention that the film seems to dabble with a bit of the post-apocalyptic aesthetic we all know and love.
Not even midway through, it dawns on me…I’m watching “28 Days Later” meets “Cast Away” and I’m wondering when I’m going to see a volleyball.

Nice try Fresh Prince.

Time to find Alfonso Ribeiro and get that Belle Aire reunion underway.
Then I’d be laughing…but not at you.

I’m hoping the book is less of a disappointment.
